The 2017 FIA European Rally Championship will be contested over eight events from April to October, the meeting of the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Vienna today has confirmed. Kajetan Kajetanowicz has taken his first win of the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship and a home victory on Rally Rzeszow. Jakub Brzeziński has enjoyed a strong first full day in the FIA European Rally Championship, sitting a fine fourth overall on Rally Rzeszow. The Ford Fiesta R5 driver posted his second top-four stage time of the day on Chmieinik 2, Friday’s final test. That leaves him only 14.6s behind Gregorz Grzyb and 13s ahead of fifth-placed Filip Nivette.
