Kajetan Kajetanowicz has taken his first win of the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship and a home victory on Rally Rzeszow. The LOTOS Rally Team driver cruised through the final Zagorzyce stage 4.6 seconds slower than Bryan Bouffier to finish up 46s clear. Bouffier made it to the end of the final stage with the chewing gum fix for his radiator still intact, although he still needs to make it to the finish in Rzeszow on time. Grzegorz Grzyb and Jakub Brzeziński have been evenly matched in their battle for an FIA European Rally Championship podium on Rally Rzeszow this morning, with only one tenth of a second between them On the first stage of the morning, Brzeziński had the upper hand by 2.4 seconds, but Grzyb was then 2.1s faster on SS9. Grzyb was 0.1s ahead on SS10, Zagorzyce, meaning he is 14.4s ahead overall. Kajetan Kajetanowicz took another stage win on Zagorzyce despite having to reverse at one point. Polish champion Łukasz Habaj is on the cusp of a top-six place on the FIA European Rally Championship’s Rally Rzeszow having already gained three spots on the first two stages of leg two.
