Polish Rally Championship (RSMP) is by the halfway now. Four rounds have passed and three more are left. In first four rallies competitors could have won maximum 120 points, but in last three rallies there are up to 140 points! It’s all caused by Rally Rzeszow and Rally Poland which are double scored.
This scoring system was introduced because of the difficulty level of this rallies. They are the longest in RSMP. On past rounds sum of the special stages was accordingly: Świdnicki – Krause Rally – 103 km, Dolnośląski – Hotel Zieleniec Rally – 119,19 km, Nadwiślański Rally – 118,84, Rally Śląsk – 112,02 km. On Rally Rzeszow total distance of special stages is 176,80 km, and on Rally Poland there are more than 200 km of demanding gravel routes.
However, there are no difference in the last on the rally – Power Stage scoring system. In all seven rounds of RSMP in 2018 five first places are pointed. Jakub Brzeziński according to the trophy name – RMF Maxxx Trophy very successfully takes the opportunity to enrich his score achievement. Leader of the cycle has got 19 of 20 possible points!
Double scored Rally Rzeszów (max. 55 pts) can significantly change the classification of Polish Rally Championship, especially because of participation of Grzegorz Grzyb, who has left past two rounds. Except for Rzeszow’s driver, who has won the Rally Rzeszow two times, we‘ll definitely see another national leaders. It is also possible that there will be some interesting surprises.
