ERC registrations hit 100

The number of registrations for the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship has reached 100, with some big names signing up ahead of the next round.

Hot off the back of Freddy Loix becoming the 90th registration for the ERC ahead of his bid for an 11th victory in the Kenotek by CID Lines Ypres Rally, both Pieter Tsjoen and Kris Princen – who won the event in 2001 and 2005 respectively – have followed.

Four others have recently registered ahead of driving R5 machinery in Ypres, namely Jourdan Serderidis, Ghislain De Mevius, Didier Duquesne and Guillaume Dilley. Claudie Tanghie and Vincent Verschueren had already registered in previous weeks.

Eighteen-year-old British driver Catie Munnings has joined the ERC Junior ranks ahead of making her debut in Ypres, while Belgium’s Polle Guesens has registered for ERC3 together with Hungarian driver Gergely Fogasy.
