Regular FIA European Rally Championship competitor Tomasz Kasperczyk is showing great form at his home event Rally Rzeszow, climbing to fifth overall during the morning loop. Local ace Grzegorz Grzyb lost time to a puncture on the long Lubenia stage but remains in a podium positions on the FIA European Rally Championship’s Rally Rzeszow. The Polish champion Łukasz Habaj was caught out by the challenging Rally Rzeszow stages on just the second corner of the first proper stage on the new FIA European Rally Championship event. Habaj went off the road in his Rallytechnology Ford Fiesta R5, and the reigning ERC champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz found his path blocked when he tried to come past. The home hero Kajetan Kajetanowicz has taken an early lead on Rally Rzeszow after a commanding performance on the street stage spectacular that kicked off round seven of the FIA European Rally Championship. The LOTOS Rally Team driver set a time of 2m05.140s over the 3.17 kilometres of the Niechobrz test in his Ford Fiesta R5 to secure first choice of road selection for the first leg of the new ERC event.
