Kajetan Kajetanowicz has taken his first win of the 2016 FIA European Rally Championship and a home victory on Rally Rzeszow. The LOTOS Rally Team driver cruised through the final Zagorzyce stage 4.6 seconds slower than Bryan Bouffier to finish up 46s clear. Grzegorz Grzyb and Jakub Brzeziński have been evenly matched in their battle for an FIA European Rally Championship podium on Rally Rzeszow this morning, with only one tenth of a second between them On the first stage of the morning, Brzeziński had the upper hand by 2.4 seconds, but Grzyb was then 2.1s faster on SS9. Polish champion Łukasz Habaj is on the cusp of a top-six place on the FIA European Rally Championship’s Rally Rzeszow having already gained three spots on the first two stages of leg two. Jakub Brzeziński has enjoyed a strong first full day in the FIA European Rally Championship, sitting a fine fourth overall on Rally Rzeszow. The Ford Fiesta R5 driver posted his second top-four stage time of the day on Chmieinik 2, Friday’s final test. That leaves him only 14.6s behind Gregorz Grzyb and 13s ahead of fifth-placed Filip Nivette. Kajetan Kajetanowicz won the final stage of the day to stretch his lead over Bryan Bouffier to 33.1s heading into Saturday.

Bryan Bouffier has spun on stage six of Rally Rzeszow, costing him 20 seconds to rival Kajetan Kajetanowicz in their fight for FIA European Rally Championship victory. Kajetanowicz was 2.6 seconds quicker than Bryan Bouffier in the repeat of the Konieczkowa stage.
